Making birthday cards

You can count on making birthday cards perhaps several times a year since it is one great event that comes around in the life of every person that you know. I think we all would agree that we like our loved ones and friends to remember our birthdays.

Reasons for making birthday cards

The main reason I would think, is that we celebrate the fact that the person receiving our card has accomplished another year of life, that we hope they will have many more birthdays, and even better, that we care about this person. So usually the themes that are chosen for happy birthday cards reflect happiness, joy, humor, or at least something upbeat; afterall, why else do we wish someone Happy Birthday? Or for certain people we might include in our birthday card sentiments that we have been thinking of them as they have completed living through a year perhaps full of personal hardships.
Almost no limits to your card making creativity

This certainly is one annual event that is not limited by age, season, gender or color scheme. It happens because we all have a birthday every year. Leaves you free to express humor, romance, friendship, affection, or … well, whatever! So you can be as creative or as non-creative as you want to be in your card making for this. Kind of a relief, huh?

Since the canvas is a clean slate here, what is left is to consider among other things, such as the person's special likes or hobbies or whatever, is the personality of the one to whom you will be giving it to.

This card employed some unusual techniques, all things considered in the card making world: First of all, I think it looks kind of vintage or something along those lines, maybe, as it looks kind of "shabby chic." I cut out the colorful flower from a printed paper plate and attached it to a blank ivory card. Stamps I used: swirls, flowers and a musical score, along the far right edges in a brick red ink, along with a Happy Birthday sentiment stamp.
